Golem is first encountered by the searchers on a massive battlefield covered in Lost Disks, each symbolizing a monster that can no longer be revived. Golem patrols the area, ensuring nobody harms his former allies.
The Searchers eventually convince Golem to join them after an attack by the Jells (wherein Golem slaughters them all). Golem agrees to help stop Moo, and shows his depth of personality as the series goes on. Golem is shown to be one of five monsters that the soul of the Phoenix was sent into.
